I grew up in Seattle area, and have been around motorcycles since I was a kid.

I only recently came to terms with my true calling in life. Photographing the motorcycle basket cases. I started down this path with a bike I found in a friend’s shed. It had been sitting for around seven years before I discovered it. I simply asked, and they were glad to get rid of it. The bike then sat in my mom’s basement for another three years, and then off to my shed for the next seven. This is an all too familiar fate for a basket case bike. Even so... I doubt that I will ever be cured of this affliction.

When I am asked why I would want to make a book like this, I answer: "Because no one had done anything like this. There were no similar books on the market... just glossy, high-end photo books of mint condition classic bikes."
